Focusing on Deliverables for Clinicians and Researchers

Focusing on Deliverables for Patients and your involvement in Research

Our Research Team efforts focus on

  1. Continuous scanning research literature and clinical guidelines on atrial fibrillation diagnosis and treatment, focusing on disparities and gaps in patient care as well as the unique QOL (Quality of Life Issues) often ignored or not captured and considered when patients and their care team are working together during a visit.
  2. We have designed a comprehensive retrospective survey instrument, BPRS, to capture patient experiences related to atrial fibrillation diagnosis, treatment pathways, and perceived barriers to care and capturing QOL issues to share with the clinical and research community as we move forward.
  3. An ever growing effort effectuating a robust methodology for identifying and recruiting a diverse and representative cohort of atrial fibrillation patients for the survey, ensuring ethical considerations and data privacy are paramount.
  4. We have focused heavily on the process for administering the survey and collecting data, including strategies to maximize response rates and ensure data quality and integrity on a massive scale.
  5. Research has engaged in an analytical approach for processing the collected survey data to identify patterns, correlations, and statistically significant gaps and disparities in diagnosis and treatment outcomes across varying patient demographics.
  6. (6) Available for review is how the research team will interpret the findings to understand the underlying causes of identified gaps and disparities, translating raw data into meaningful insights to share with resources that are in the process of delivering the whole story to clinicians when they are engaged with their patients with the intention of providing significantly better patient reported outcomes (PROs)
  7. Our research team can detail the process for formulating actionable recommendations, CTAs (Calls to Action), based on the research findings, aimed at addressing the identified gaps and disparities in atrial fibrillation care fostering more successful patient engagement.
  8. Working with standard and uncommon strategies, potentially through generative AI and newly generated healthcare LLMs for disseminating the research findings to relevant stakeholders, including healthcare providers, policymakers, and patient advocacy groups, to drive improvements in patient outcomes.
  9. With the ever-growing existence of platforms to deliver better individualized care plans to empower clinicians more effectively we hope to provide such data to them.
  10. Investigating the mobile and wearable device world hoping to incorporate findings from such monitoring device data into a more robust delivery of meaningful full data to be included each and every time a clinician and patient are engaged in a shared decision encounter.

Patient Education enhancing engagement with Clinicians or Preparation for Research

Providing guidance on educational efforts developing 2 unique patient focused programs.

PACE™ (Patient Advocates for Clinical Engagement)
Self-Paced On-line Educational Program of the ways patients can be empowered to get the most with their next and every encounter with their clinical care team.

PARE™ (Patient Advocates for Research Engagement)
Self-Paced On-line Educational Program for patients understanding the research process for medications and device development for treatments and management of Atrial Fibrillation. If you want to be part of research, you need a jump start to be part of all aspects of research.
